Is sebum hair loss permanent?

My hair has been thinning a lot, and a local Ayurvedic doctor suggested it might be due to excess sebum. If sebum is causing hair loss, is that kind of hair loss usually permanent, or can it be reversed?

My grandmother always said hair fall is natural with age, but when sebum is involved, it feels different. My cousin had something similar, and her doctor told her it's treatable if caught early, not necessarily permanent. Please do consult a dermatologist, they are the best people to advise.

Haan yaar, sebum se hair loss toh tension deta hai. But mere ek friend ko bhi hua tha, and usne proper treatment liya. Medicines aur scalp care se uske hair vapas aa gaye. Toh permanent nahi hota always, na.

Oh god, I always worry about hair loss! Sebum related one sounds scary. But I read somewhere that if it's due to excess oil or a fungal infection, it can be treated. Permanent usually happens if follicles are completely damaged. Please get it checked fast so you don't overthink like me!

Don't worry too much about it being permanent right away. Hair loss due to sebum build-up often means there's an underlying scalp issue that can be managed. Focus on getting a proper diagnosis from a doctor, and they'll guide you on the right path. It's usually reversible with treatment.

Honestly, sebum-related hair loss isn't typically permanent if addressed in time. It usually points to scalp health issues. Your best bet is to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. They can assess the cause and recommend a targeted treatment plan to save your time and hair.
