Is salmon ok during pregnancy?

I'm expecting my first child, and I'm very particular about my diet. I know some fish aren't recommended during pregnancy because of mercury. Is salmon an exception, is it okay to eat during pregnancy?

Oh, this was one of my biggest worries when I was pregnant! Everything felt so confusing. Did anyone else feel really anxious about what to eat? I heard salmon is good for baby's brain but also about mercury. It's so hard to know what's safe.

Yaar, during pregnancy, everything needs checking, no? Salmon is generally good for Omega-3, but you have to be careful about mercury levels. Actually, my gynae said to stick to low-mercury fish and limit quantities. Best to ask your own doctor, they'll know what's best for you specifically.

Pregnancy involves so many expenses, tests, everything. The best plan is to sit with your doctor and get a clear diet chart tailored for you. This way you don't waste money on things that might not be right, and ensure safety. For something as important as pregnancy, don't take chances based on general advice.

Oh my god, I used to overthink every single thing I put in my mouth during pregnancy! It's completely normal to feel this way. Salmon is often recommended for its benefits, but yes, mercury is a concern. The best way to reduce your anxiety is to have a direct conversation with your obstetrician. They'll give you clear guidelines.

Generally, homemade and fresh food is best for pregnant women. Salmon is fish, so it should be super fresh and properly cooked. If you're ever in doubt or feel any discomfort after eating something, don't hesitate, go to the doctor immediately. Better safe than sorry, especially during pregnancy.

As someone who focuses a lot on diet, I know how crucial food choices are during pregnancy. Salmon is rich in Omega-3s, which are beneficial. However, the key is to choose low-mercury options and ensure it's cooked thoroughly. Always confirm with your gynaecologist about safe types and quantities.
