Is rice good for weight gain?

I'm quite underweight and looking to gain some healthy weight, especially muscle mass. I eat rice almost daily. Is rice good for weight gain, or should I be focusing on other foods more?

Haan, beti, for weight gain, rice can be very good, especially if you eat it with ghee and dal, like our elders always suggested. It's an easy way to add calories. But if you're struggling to gain weight, or doing it for a specific reason, sometimes there can be an underlying health issue. For that, seeing a doctor is better than just relying on home tips. Be safe, beta.

For weight gain, it's not just about eating more, it's about eating right. Rice can definitely help as it's calorie-dense. But to ensure healthy weight gain, combine it with protein and healthy fats. Best to consult a doctor or a nutritionist at a good hospital. They can give you a proper diet plan tailored to your needs and ensure you're gaining weight safely, not just fat.

Oh, I've always struggled with gaining weight, and it makes me so anxious! I've tried eating more rice, but I'm never sure if I'm doing it right or just feeling bloated. Does adding ghee to rice really help? And how much is too much? Has anyone else found rice to be a good way to gain weight without just feeling heavy and sluggish?

Oh, rice for weight gain? Absolutely! Especially with some rich dal, ghee, and maybe some aloo sabzi. Mmm! It's our staple, super comforting and packed with easy calories. Just don't forget to eat other good stuff too, like protein. But yeah, if you want to put on some healthy kilos, rice is your friend!

It's so tough when you're trying to gain weight and feeling like nothing works! Rice can absolutely be a friend here. It's a great source of easy-to-digest calories. Pair it with good sources of protein like dal, chicken, or paneer, and healthy fats like ghee or avocado. It helped me feel less frustrated when I focused on nutrient-dense meals with rice.

I had some complications trying to gain weight quickly without proper guidance. Rice is calorie-dense, so yes, it can help. But simply eating a lot of rice might not give you healthy weight gain; you need a balanced intake of protein, carbs, and fats. If you're trying to gain weight, especially for health reasons, please see a doctor or a registered dietitian. They can ensure you do it safely and effectively.

If you're trying to gain weight, especially if you have PCOS or other hormonal issues, rice can definitely help with calorie intake. It's a good carb source. But rather than just eating a lot of plain rice, try to make it nutrient-dense by adding protein like chicken or paneer and healthy fats. Don't overdo simple carbs if you have insulin resistance. Always consult a nutritionist for a tailored plan.
