Is pregnancy test reliable?

My period is delayed by a few days now and I'm quite worried. We used protection, but still, I took a home pregnancy test. Just wondering how accurate these tests actually are.

They are mostly reliable, ho na. But sometimes if we test too early it shows negative even if it is positive. Better to wait for a missed period and then check in the morning.

Honestly, I took three tests because I just couldn't believe the faint line. Did anyone else get super confused by those light lines? I was so stressed till I went to the lab.

Don't go by those online tricks like salt or toothpaste tests, they are completely useless. Buy a standard kit from the pharmacy, and if you are still unsure, just book a doctor's appointment directly.

Home tests are good for a quick check, but please don't rely only on them. Go to a nearby clinic and get a beta-hCG blood test done. That is the only way to be 100% sure and safe.

Usually, these kits work very well, Amma says to wait at least a week after a missed period before testing. But whatever the home kit shows, it is always best to visit your gynaecologist for a proper scan.

My wife got a clear positive on day one of her missed period. Once you confirm it with a doctor, you can start with light daily walks. Staying active early on really helps with energy levels if your doctor gives the green light.

They are quite accurate nowadays, usually over 99% if you follow the box instructions. Just do it first thing in the morning when the urine concentration is highest. If it's positive, schedule a doc visit during your lunch break to confirm.
