Is pink salt good for weight loss?

My dietitian recommended I cut down on sodium, but I heard pink salt is a healthier option. Does it help with weight loss too, or is it just a substitute for regular salt?

When you're trying to lose weight, especially with conditions like PCOS, every small change matters. Pink salt is just a type of salt, it's not a weight loss supplement. While it has some trace minerals, it's still sodium, and excess sodium can cause water retention, which works against weight loss. So, focus on reducing overall sodium intake, not just the type of salt.

My mother always said, 'less salt, good health.' Pink salt might have a few more minerals, but it is still salt, high in sodium. For weight loss, it's about reducing overall salt, eating healthy, and exercising. Don't expect special results from just changing the color of your salt. Trust your doctor for real diet advice.

Pink salt for weight loss? Haha, if only! I'd be sprinkling it on everything if it worked like that. It's just salt, man, looks pretty but won't magically melt the fat. Less salt overall, more sleep, and actual effort, that's the real deal for weight loss. I wish there was an easier way!

I personally switched to pink salt because it has more minerals, but I didn't see any direct effect on my weight loss. For me, weight loss has always been about eating balanced meals and being active. I think pink salt is a healthier choice than refined salt, but it's not a weight loss solution on its own.
