Is perimenopause hair loss reversible?

I'm 53 and have noticed a lot of hair thinning, especially since my periods became irregular. My doctor said it's probably perimenopause. I'm really worried about my hair; is this hair loss reversible or will it just keep getting worse?

Hair loss during perimenopause often links to hormonal changes and nutritional deficiencies. Focusing on a balanced, nutrient-rich vegetarian diet with plenty of protein, iron, and biotin can support hair health. While some reversal is possible, consistent dietary and lifestyle changes are key, often with medical advice.

Oh, the joys of perimenopause! Hair loss can be such a bummer. While a delicious, balanced diet full of good fats and proteins won't magically regrow everything, it definitely helps. Think good for your gut, good for your hair! But also, a doc check is a must, no yummy food can replace that!

Hair loss can be a symptom of many things, not just perimenopause. I had a friend who thought it was perimenopause but it was something else entirely. Please don't self-diagnose or try quick fixes. See a gynaecologist or dermatologist to understand the exact cause and get proper treatment. Early intervention is often best.

Hair loss from hormonal changes, whether it's PCOS or perimenopause, can be really distressing. It's not always fully reversible, but it can often be managed and significantly improved. It needs a multi-pronged approach, likely involving your doctor for hormone management and maybe a dermatologist. Don't lose hope, but be realistic.

Hey girl, I know it's super annoying, but perimenopause hair loss is pretty common, don't stress too much! It's largely hormonal. While it might not all come back like before, a lot can be done to improve it. Talk to your gynaec, they might suggest something to balance hormones or a good dermatologist. You're not alone!

Perimenopausal hair loss is common due to fluctuating hormone levels, particularly estrogen. While complete reversal might not always be possible, it is often treatable and manageable. Consult a dermatologist or endocrinologist for a precise diagnosis and to explore options like topical treatments, hormonal therapies, or nutritional supplements. Don't delay.

My older sister also went through this, it can be quite upsetting. Our mothers used to oil their hair so much, saying it helps. While good oiling and diet are important, for perimenopause related hair loss, it is best to consult the doctor. Hormones are tricky, only they can properly guide us. Some improvement is definitely possible.

I've been tracking my health on apps and noticed a lot about hormonal changes. Perimenopause hair loss is often linked to declining estrogen. Reversal depends on the individual, but many find success with targeted treatments and lifestyle changes. There are specific supplements and even some hair growth therapies your doctor can suggest. Track your symptoms and discuss with your doc.
