Is peppermint tea ok during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and have been feeling a little nauseous, so I thought about having some peppermint tea. My mother-in-law said to be careful with herbal teas during pregnancy. Is peppermint tea okay to drink while pregnant, or should I avoid it?

My wife had high BP during pregnancy, so we were super careful with everything. For things like herbal teas, even if it seems safe, it's always best to check with your gynaecologist. Don't just assume anything, especially when it concerns two lives.

Hey girl, don't stress too much! A little peppermint tea, especially to calm morning sickness, is often okay. My friend drank it. But still, a quick call to your doc will put your mind at ease completely. Better safe than sorry!

Umm, I remember my sister telling me pregnant ladies need to be super careful with anything herbal. Even for a simple tea. So yeah, I'd say confirm with the doc first, don't take any chances.

This is exactly the kind of thing I worried about when I was pregnant! Is it okay, is it not? So confusing. Did anyone else find a clear answer from their doctors about peppermint tea specifically? I heard conflicting things.

I totally freaked out about every single food item when I was pregnant! For peppermint tea, my doctor said a cup or two occasionally is fine, especially if it helps with nausea. But not like, multiple cups a day. Always best to ask your own doc, though.

For pregnancy, the diet really changes. While peppermint tea is generally a light herbal drink, my gym trainer friend whose wife was pregnant always said they double-checked everything with the gynaec. It's just common sense to be safe, especially during this time.
