Is okra water good for diabetes?

My cousin told me that okra water can be really beneficial for managing diabetes. My blood sugar levels have been a bit high. Is okra water truly good for diabetes?

I read up on this when my dad got diagnosed. Okra water contains soluble fiber which can slow sugar absorption, but my doc clearly said there is no strong medical proof it cures diabetes. He advised us to keep taking insulin and use okra water only as a healthy routine drink.

Bro, my dadi literally forces everyone in the house to drink this sticky okra water. It tastes kinda weird honestly, but she says it keeps her sugar levels completely normal. Might work, but better to check with a real doc first.

Honestly, the texture of okra water is so slimy, I couldn't stomach it even to help with my fatigue. If you can drink it without gagging, hats off to you. Just make sure it doesn't replace your actual sugar medicines!

Okra water can be a good detox, but don't rely only on it. Managing diabetes is all about daily movement. I suggest doing a 30-minute brisk walk daily alongside whatever diet remedies you try.

My mom tried drinking okra water every morning for her borderline diabetes. It actually helped lower her fasting sugar slightly, but it also made her thoda bloated. If you try it, make sure you wash the bhindi really well before soaking.

Look, there is no harm in trying natural things like okra water, but please do not stop your regular checkups. Diabetes needs proper monitoring. Keep checking your levels and use this as a small helper, okay? Take care.
