Is np thyroid better than levothyroxine?

My doctor switched me from Levothyroxine to NP Thyroid recently, saying it might be better for me. I'm wondering what the actual differences are and if NP Thyroid is generally considered more effective than Levothyroxine for thyroid issues.

My sister suggested trying natural thyroid options, but my doctor advised that levothyroxine is much more stable and easier to dose. I preferred sticking to his advice, and my TSH levels have been perfect since then.

NP Thyroid is natural desiccated thyroid, which is often imported and much more expensive than standard levothyroxine in India. Plus, levothyroxine requires simpler, cheaper blood tests to monitor, making it highly cost-effective for long-term use.

NP Thyroid contains both T3 and T4 hormones, whereas levothyroxine is only T4. Some people feel better on the combination, but others find levothyroxine more consistent. Ultimately, your endocrinologist is the best person to decide based on your lab reports.

I always prefer natural treatments and a clean diet for my health, but thyroid is a critical hormone. You should not switch between synthetic and natural thyroid brands on your own without a proper doctor's prescription.

I am currently taking levothyroxine but still feel very tired all the time. I was wondering if switching to NP Thyroid actually helped anyone else feel more energetic, or did it cause heart palpitations?
