Is miralax ok for pregnancy?

I've been having some constipation issues during my pregnancy, and my doctor suggested a mild laxative. I've heard of Miralax; is it generally considered okay to use during pregnancy?

Oh, the discomfort of pregnancy constipation is real, and it can be emotionally draining! It's so tough to know what's safe when you're feeling so vulnerable. Miralax is often considered by doctors for pregnancy, but please, for your peace of mind and safety, consult your OB-GYN. You're doing the right thing by asking!

I totally get how miserable pregnancy constipation can be, and how scary it is to take anything new! Miralax is often suggested by doctors for this. It's generally thought to be safe because it doesn't get absorbed much by your body. Still, the most reassuring thing to do is to confirm with your own gynaecologist. They'll know what's perfectly fine for you.

Haan ji, pregnancy mein constipation bahut common hai. Miralax ke baare mein maine bhi suna hai ki doctors often consider it safe. But you know na, har pregnancy alag hoti hai aur body bhi. Toh apne gynaecologist se ek baar confirm karna best hoga. Bina puche kuch mat lena, please.

Constipation in pregnancy is a very common issue, dear. Many doctors do suggest Miralax (polyethylene glycol) as it's generally considered a safe option because it's not absorbed into the bloodstream. However, it's always, always best to get confirmation from your gynaecologist, as they know your full medical history. Take care of yourself!

I can only share what I've seen in my family. My sister-in-law had really bad constipation during her pregnancy. Her gynaecologist did prescribe Miralax for her, so she used it. But please remember, I'm not a doctor, so you must ask your own doctor if it's right for you.

I had severe constipation during my last pregnancy, it was awful. My doctor prescribed Miralax, and it was a huge relief. It's generally considered safe as it works locally in the bowel and isn't absorbed systemically. Just make sure you drink plenty of water with it. But still, get your specific doctor's green light, don't just take it.
