Is mango a good fruit for weight loss?

Mango season is here and I love eating them, but I'm also trying to lose weight. My mother says they have a lot of sugar. Is mango a good fruit to eat if I'm trying to lose weight?

Oh, I totally used to panic about eating mangoes when I was trying to lose weight! Thought they were too sugary. But my nutritionist actually said one small mango a day, in moderation, is fine. It has fiber and vitamins. Don't overdo it, and maybe have it as a snack instead of with a heavy meal.

Oh, this is exactly the kind of thing I overthink! Is the sugar too high? Will it make me gain weight? But then I remember it has fiber and vitamins too. I think if you're really tracking, maybe a smaller portion, or pair it with some protein like curd to balance the sugar spike. It's a tricky one, I agree!

For weight loss, especially if you have underlying conditions like thyroid, it's crucial to consult a doctor or dietitian. While mango is nutritious, its sugar content is a factor. They can guide you on portion sizes and frequency that align with your specific health needs and weight loss goals.

For weight loss, simple logic works best. Eat less junk, eat more ghar ka khana, and move your body. Mango is a fruit, a natural thing. Just don't eat two whole mangoes after every meal, that's it. Have one small one as a snack. No need to complicate things so much!

I can only share my experience, not medical advice. I love mangoes, and during mango season, I eat them daily. I still managed to maintain my weight by just being mindful of my overall diet and exercise. If you're generally eating healthy, a mango in moderation shouldn't derail your weight loss too much.

Beta, don't worry so much about one fruit. Mango is a gift from nature, full of goodness. As long as you eat it in moderation, like one a day, and balance it with other healthy foods and some walking, it won't stop your weight loss. Enjoy the season!

Mangoes are delicious and have nutrients, but they are also calorie-dense due to their sugar content. If you're on a weight loss journey, it's all about calorie deficit. So, enjoy mangoes, but in controlled portions. And make sure you're consistently getting your daily walks or workouts in, if your doctor has approved it.
