Is loss of appetite a sign of cancer?

My appetite has been very low for the past few weeks, and I'm not feeling like eating much at all. I've heard some unsettling things. Is a significant loss of appetite a possible sign of cancer?

Loss of appetite can happen due to many everyday things like thyroid issues, hormonal changes, or even stress. However, if it is persistent and accompanied by sudden weight loss, you must go for a proper medical check-up to rule out anything serious.

Aise darna nahi chahiye, bhook kam hona toh thoda pet kharab hone se ya garmi se bhi ho jata hai. Par agar bahut dinon tak khana khane ka man na kare, toh doctor babu ko zaroor dikha lena chahiye.

I had a complete loss of appetite last year and was terrified it was something major. It turned out to be just a severe liver infection that got cured with simple medicines. It's always best to get basic blood tests done first.

Please try not to jump to the worst conclusion immediately. Loss of appetite is a very common symptom for simple digestive issues, but a quick doctor's visit will give you clarity and peace of mind.

Look, loss of appetite is a symptom of a hundred minor things before it points to cancer. Start by eating simple, home-cooked light food for two days and if the problem still persists, just visit a local physician for a routine check-up.

I know how terrifying it is to Google symptoms and see the word 'cancer' pop up first. It makes you feel so anxious and helpless. Please breathe, and make an appointment with a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis instead of stressing.
