Is liver pate healthy?

Someone at work was saying how good liver pate is for you, but it's a very rich food. I'm wondering, is liver pate actually considered a healthy food option?

It has good vitamins from the liver, but honestly, it contains too much butter and preservatives. A simpler and cheaper way is to just buy fresh chicken liver from your local butcher, boil it with spices, and eat it fresh.

Liver pate is highly nutritious because of the iron and Vitamin A, but because it is very high in saturated fats and sodium, it should be consumed in moderation. It is not suitable for daily consumption, especially if you have heart or BP concerns.

It is healthy in small amounts for iron and vitamins, but the high butter content means you shouldn't eat it regularly.

It has benefits but is very heavy to digest. In our home, we prepare a simple liver curry with turmeric and cumin which is much better for the stomach than these cold, processed canned spreads.

I was looking into this for my low iron levels! While it is super rich in iron, the calorie count from the butter is huge, so I just have a tiny bit on a cracker occasionally instead of making it a daily thing.

It’s a mix of both—very high in vitamin A and iron, but also loaded with fat and cholesterol. I was reading up on it and most health sites suggest treating it more like an occasional treat rather than a health food.
