Is liver and onions healthy?

My grandmother swears by liver and onions for its nutritional value. I was wondering if this dish is actually considered healthy overall, or if it has some downsides.

My family doctor explained that liver is exceptionally high in Vitamin A, B12, and iron, while onions offer good antioxidants. However, because liver is so nutrient-dense, eating it too frequently can lead to vitamin toxicity. He advised keeping it to once a week at most.

It is highly healthy and a very affordable way to get rich nutrients compared to expensive health supplements. Just buy fresh liver from a trusted shop and cook it simply at home with onions, turmeric, and very little oil.

Yes, it is very healthy, especially since liver contains selenium which is great for thyroid function. But if you have thyroid issues like me, make sure you get your blood work done regularly and consult your doctor to balance your overall diet.

It's healthy, yes, but your breath might not be very healthy for the people around you afterwards! Joke aside, it is packed with iron and vitamins, so it is definitely a solid meal choice.

It is actually a superfood, guys. I started eating it because my gym trainer said it has way more vitamins than regular chicken breast. Plus, onions make it taste actually decent if you spice it up right.

I had a severe vitamin B12 deficiency last year and started having liver and onions once a week. My energy levels improved drastically within a month. It is definitely a nutrient-dense and healthy dish.
