Is kidney damage from ozempic reversible?

My sister-in-law has been using Ozempic for her diabetes, and I heard some talk about it affecting kidneys. She's a bit concerned now. Is kidney damage from Ozempic reversible or permanent if it happens?

Hey, don't stress too much about this right now. Honestly, a lot depends on how early you catch it and what your doctor says. Just drink enough water and get those blood tests done soon, everything will be fine!

I have been managing my sugar for ten years now and these new meds can sometimes strain the kidneys if you get dehydrated. You need to keep a strict watch on your daily salt and protein intake. Please talk to your diabetologist about adjusting the dosage.

Look, kidney issues are serious and you can't just guess. Stop taking random advice online and get your serum creatinine checked immediately. If it is acute injury, it might reverse, but only a nephrologist can tell you the actual picture.

Ah, the joy of trying to fix one problem and getting three new ones! My doctor also suggested these modern injections but I got scared looking at my lab reports. Take a deep breath, go to the clinic, and let the specialists do their job.

Even I am on this treatment and now I am getting so scared reading this. Has anyone else actually faced kidney issues after starting it? Please let me know what symptoms you had, it will help me sleep better.

Wait, really? I didn't know these weight loss meds could mess with kidneys so bad. Honestly, you should just stop reading scary articles on Google and go ask a proper doc today.

My creatinine shot up last year while I was on similar medication. My doctor stopped it immediately, put me on a strict hydration plan, and luckily my levels came back to normal in a month. It is definitely possible to recover if you act fast.

Beta, in my seventy years I have seen that our bodies are very resilient. If you take care of your diet, stay away from self-medication, and follow your doctor's words, most of these side effects do go away with time. God bless.
