Is ivermectin safe for kidney patients?

My cousin is a kidney patient and recently got prescribed a medicine that I think was ivermectin. Just wanted to check, is ivermectin safe for kidney patients or should we be careful?

Kidney patients ko toh bohot dhyaan se dawai leni chahiye, beta. Unki body ko sab cheezein suit nahi karti. Ivermectin ek strong medicine hai, toh bina doctor ki salah ke lena toh bilkul bhi theek nahi. Ghar pe bhi, agar kuch khane-peene mein shaq ho toh pehle poochh lo.

Definitely a 'no' on self-medicating here. Ivermectin is primarily cleared by the liver, but its metabolites are excreted through the kidneys. So, for kidney patients, dosage adjustment might be needed or it might be contraindicated entirely depending on the kidney function. Always check with their nephrologist.

No, it's not generally safe without strict medical supervision for kidney patients. Consult a doctor.

Na bhai, kidney patients ke liye toh har medicine pehle doctor se confirm karni chahiye. Ivermectin bhi doctor ki salah bina lena safe nahi hai. Haan, unke liye dosage alag hoti hai ya kabhi-kabhi toh mana hi kar dete hain.

For kidney patients, every medication needs careful consideration because their kidneys might not filter drugs effectively. You absolutely must consult a nephrologist before taking Ivermectin. They are the best person to decide if it's safe and what dosage is appropriate, if at all.

It's really worrying when you have kidney issues and need to take new medication. I completely understand that anxiety. For Ivermectin, especially with kidney problems, it's crucial to have a detailed discussion with your kidney specialist. They'll know if it's safe for your specific condition and how it might impact your kidneys.
