Is it safe to be around someone with hepatitis b?

A colleague at work recently disclosed they have Hepatitis B. I'm wondering if it's safe to be around them in close proximity, like sharing lunch or being in meetings together. What are the risks?

From what I understand and my experience with friends who have it, Hepatitis B isn't spread by casual contact. You can usually hug, share food, and just generally be around them without worry. It's always good to be informed, though.

Hey, don't stress too much about this! Hepatitis B is not spread by things like hugging, sharing food, or even sneezing. It spreads through blood and body fluids. So, unless you're sharing needles or something like that, you're absolutely safe. Just be sensible like you would with anyone else.

Hepatitis B is not transmitted through casual contact like sharing meals, hugging, or sitting next to someone. It's typically spread via blood, semen, or other body fluids. So, being around someone in a normal social setting is generally safe. However, for any specific concerns or if you're a close contact, a doctor's advice on vaccination or testing is always best.

Yaar, common misconception, actually. Hepatitis B is not airborne or spread by casual contact. You can totally be around someone who has it, share food, talk, chill, everything. It spreads through specific body fluids, not like a normal flu. So chill!

Yes, it is safe for normal interactions. Hepatitis B is a blood-borne virus, meaning it spreads through contact with infected blood or certain body fluids, not through casual contact like shaking hands, hugging, or sharing food/water. So, no need to isolate anyone. Just practice standard hygiene, like avoiding sharing razors or toothbrushes.

We should always approach others with love and compassion. Hepatitis B does not spread through casual touch or sharing daily items, so you can be around them without fear. Focus on understanding and supporting them. A healthy mind and positive outlook are important for everyone's well-being.
