Is it possible to have menstruation during pregnancy?

My wife is pregnant, and sometimes she notices a little spotting or light bleeding. She's worried it's her period, but I thought menstruation stops completely. Is it truly possible to experience menstruation or any bleeding that looks like it, while pregnant?

Absolutely not normal menstruation. I had some bleeding during my first trimester and thought it was just a light period, ignoring it for a while. It turned out to be a potential issue that needed medical attention. Please, if you see any bleeding, do not ignore it. See a doctor immediately.

Nahi beta, jab ek baar garbh thehar gaya, toh masik dharm band ho jata hai. Agar khoon dikhta hai toh woh period nahi hota, koi aur pareshani ho sakti hai. Isko halka mat lena. Doctor ke paas jaakar dikhana chahiye turant.

No, true menstruation, which is the shedding of the uterine lining, does not occur during pregnancy. Any bleeding during pregnancy, even light, needs to be evaluated by a medical professional to rule out complications. Don't waste time self-diagnosing, book an appointment quickly.

When I was pregnant, I had some spotting and thought it was nothing, but it turned out to be a complication. So, no, you don't get proper periods during pregnancy, but any bleeding should be taken seriously. Please, please see your doctor immediately, don't take any chances.

Nope, actual periods stop when you're pregnant, that's like, basic biology. But sometimes people get spotting or light bleeding, especially in the early stages, and it can be confused with a period. My friend thought she was having a light period but she was pregnant! Still, any bleeding should be checked out by a doctor.
