Is it ok to take pregnancy test at night?

I'm a few days late on my period and feeling anxious. I bought a home pregnancy test, but it's already late evening. Will the results be accurate if I take a pregnancy test at night, or should I wait until morning?

Hello behna, you can take it any time but mostly first thing in morning is best. My bhabhi also did like that only. But haan, don't worry too much, test will show what it has to.

Honestly, the packet always says morning sample for a reason, right? I mean, who wants to be confused at 2 AM? But if it's very urgent, take it. Just know the results might be a bit hazy if your HCG levels aren't super high yet. Life's complicated enough already!

Hey! So usually morning is better for accuracy cause the hormone concentration is highest then. But if you've missed your period by a few days, it should probably show up even at night. Don't stress too much, just follow the instructions on the kit properly.

From what I've heard and seen, the first morning urine is considered best because it's more concentrated. If you take it at night, especially after drinking a lot of water, it might dilute the hormones and give a false negative. If you can wait, try in the morning for a clearer result.

My mother used to say early morning sample is best for these tests. The doctors also say the same. So if you are anxious, maybe try waiting till morning for the most accurate result. Otherwise, if you are quite far along, even night test should give a clear answer. Please consult a doctor if you have any doubts.

Generally, morning is recommended for the best results because the urine is more concentrated then. But if it's been a while since your period, a night test might also work. Whatever the outcome, please take care of yourself.
