Is it ok to let baby sleep with stuffy nose?

My 6-month-old has a stuffy nose and it's making him fussy at night. My mother suggested letting him sleep in a slightly elevated position. Is it okay to let baby sleep with stuffy nose, or should I worry?

Babies breathe mostly through their nose, so a stuffy nose can be really worrying. While some mild stuffiness might be okay, if it's affecting their breathing or making them fussy, it's not ideal. I'd be cautious and suggest talking to a pediatrician for safe solutions, just like how I'm careful with my PCOS management.

A stuffy nose in a baby can be concerning, as it can affect their breathing and feeding. I would always recommend getting it checked by a pediatrician, especially if they are very young or if it's severe. Better safe than sorry, always.

Oh, I totally get how stressful it is when your little one has a stuffy nose! It breaks your heart to see them struggle. While light stuffiness might be fine with a humidifier, if they're having trouble breathing or feeding, please consult your pediatrician. Your worry is valid.

Beta, chhote bachon ko sardi lag jaati hai toh naak band ho jaati hai. Thoda sa naak saaf kar do ya garam paani ki bhaap do toh aaram mil jaata hai. Halka-phulka chalta hai, par agar zyada ho toh doctor ko dikhao. Bachpan mein sabko hota hai.

My niece had a stuffy nose recently, and it was so difficult for her to sleep! We used a nasal aspirator gently and put a humidifier in the room, which helped a lot. If it's really bad or they're having trouble feeding, definitely call the pediatrician. They can suggest drops or other solutions.
