Is it ok to drink green tea during pregnancy?

I'm trying to cut down on caffeine during my pregnancy, so I switched to green tea. But then someone told me even green tea might not be good for pregnant women. Is it okay to drink green tea during pregnancy?

With PCOS, I've learned to be really cautious about what I consume. For pregnancy, I'd suggest checking with your doctor about green tea. It does have caffeine, and generally, caffeine intake is advised to be limited during pregnancy. Better safe than sorry, you know?

Hey, it's good you're thinking about this! Green tea has caffeine, and doctors usually recommend limiting caffeine during pregnancy. So, maybe just one small cup a day, or even better, switch to decaf or herbal teas. Always check with your gynaec, though.

Oh, green tea! I remember trying to be all healthy. In pregnancy, everything is a question mark, isn't it? My doc said moderate is fine, but not too much because of caffeine. Honestly, by the third trimester, I just wanted a good night's sleep, not more questions about tea!

I totally get why you're asking! Every little thing you eat or drink feels like a huge decision during pregnancy. Green tea is tricky because of the caffeine content. I really struggled with giving up my morning cup. My doc said a very small amount is okay, but honestly, it stressed me out so much I just switched to herbal teas. Talk to your doctor to ease your mind.

I had the same question when I was pregnant! My doctor told me that moderate intake, like one small cup a day, is generally fine because the caffeine content is lower than coffee. But seriously, don't overdo it. Or better, switch to decaf green tea for zero worries. That's what I did most days.

Oh, this is one of those things that kept me up at night too! I researched so much. The main concern is caffeine and some compounds that might affect folic acid absorption. It's usually advised to limit it, or just completely avoid for peace of mind. Please check with your Gynae for personalised advice.
