Is it normal to have stomach ache during pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester and experiencing mild stomach ache on and off, feels like period cramps sometimes. My friend who recently delivered said it's normal as the body adjusts. Is it common to have stomach ache during pregnancy?

Stomach aches are common due to gas or stretching, but don't waste money buying multiple expensive supplements online. Just get a basic ultrasound done at a registered local lab which charges reasonably, and show it to your government hospital doctor to ensure everything is fine.

Listen to me, don't worry too much. Mild cramping or stretching pain is very common as your uterus expands to make space for the baby. Just lie down on your left side, drink some warm water, and rest. But if the pain is severe or you see any spotting, we must go to the doctor immediately, okay?

As someone who deals with patients daily, I always tell moms that mild stretching pain on the sides (round ligament pain) is perfectly normal. However, if the pain is accompanied by burning when you urinate, fever, or severe cramping, it could be a UTI or something requiring medical attention. Always get a professional opinion to be safe.

I had constant mild stomach aches during my second trimester due to sitting for long hours at my office desk. Try to take short walks every hour and stay hydrated. If the pain doesn't go away with rest, just drop a quick message to your doctor's assistant instead of waiting till your next monthly appointment.

My wife's gynecologist at the hospital clearly told us that minor abdominal discomfort is expected, but any sharp, persistent pain should never be self-treated. Please do not take any over-the-counter stomach pain tablets without calling your doctor first, as many medicines are not safe during pregnancy.

Honestly, during my wife's pregnancy, she would get stomach pain simply because she craved super spicy street food and then got terrible acidity. Keep a tab on what you are eating, avoid oily deep-fried cravings at night, and eat smaller, frequent meals to keep the bloating away.

Haan na, stomach pain to pregnancy mein kafi common hota hai because of acidity and stretching. Mera bhi shuru ke months mein thoda dukh raha tha. But agar dukhna bohot zyada badh jaye, toh please doctor se baat kar lena, neglect mat karo.

Half the time my pregnancy stomach ache was just massive gas from all the crazy midnight snacks I was eating! Your digestive system slows down to a crawl during this time. Just burp it out, but keep your doctor informed so you can sleep peacefully at night—or try to, at least.
