Is it normal to have diarrhea during pregnancy?

Since the last few days, I've been having loose motions, and I'm about 5 months pregnant now. My friend said it's quite common for some women during pregnancy. Is diarrhea normal at this stage?

It can happen due to sudden dietary changes or prenatal vitamins, but it is not something to ignore. Make sure you are sipping ORS to avoid dehydration, and if it lasts more than 24 hours or you feel severe cramping, contact your doctor immediately.

My wife faced this during her third month because of some stomach bug. We gave her light khichdi and buttermilk, which helped settle her stomach. But please consult your gynecologist before taking any over-the-counter loose motion tablets.

Yaar, pregnancy cravings make us eat the weirdest combinations, and sometimes the stomach just protests! But loose motions can drain your energy fast. Stick to basic curd-rice for a bit and definitely consult your doc if it doesn't stop.

I literally recovered from this last week, and it was so exhausting. My gynecologist told me it was a mild viral stomach infection and prescribed pregnancy-safe medications. Don't try to wait it out, just call your doctor.

Between work and managing health, a stomach upset is the last thing you need. Don't wait around for it to resolve on its own. Send a quick message to your gynecologist and get a safe prescription to handle it quickly.

I remember crying in the bathroom because I felt so weak and terrified that my baby wasn't getting enough nutrition. It is emotionally and physically draining. Please know you are not alone, and call your doctor for proper advice.

Actually, it is quite common because of all the hormonal drama happening inside, yaar. But dehydration is very risky during pregnancy. Keep drinking coconut water and call your doctor if it continues.

A sudden shift to high-fiber foods can sometimes upset the stomach, but diarrhea should be managed carefully. Eat bland foods like bananas and curd, and avoid anything spicy. Most importantly, consult your doctor for safe treatment.

During my pregnancy, I had a sudden episode of diarrhea in my second trimester. I only had simple home-cooked food and informed my doctor, who monitored me closely. Sharing this because staying in touch with your doctor is key.

Please don't ignore this. I once thought my stomach upset was just due to food, but it led to severe dehydration and weakness that required hospitalization. Save yourself the trouble and consult your doctor immediately.
