Is it normal to feel depressed during pregnancy?

Honestly, I thought pregnancy would be all glowing and happy, but lately, I just feel so down and teary, for no reason. My family thinks I'm just hormonal. Is it normal to feel depressed during pregnancy?

It is actually very common, you are not alone in this. I used to drink warm kesar milk and sit in the balcony for fresh air every morning, which helped soothe my mind a bit. But honestly, please talk to your doctor about this during your next visit instead of keeping it to yourself.

Honestly, with the crazy hormones and zero sleep, it is a miracle we don't cry 24/7. I spent my whole second trimester weeping over random TV ads. It is completely normal to feel low, but do let your gynecologist know so they can support you.

Yes, prenatal depression is a real medical thing, not just mood swings. Don't let anyone tell you to just 'stay happy' or brush it off. Get in touch with your doctor or a good therapist who understands pregnancy-related mental health.

Arey, my family thought I was just throwing tantrums during my time, but inside I felt so hollow. These hormones make a football out of our emotions! Don't suffer silently, discuss it openly with your doctor, okay?

I went through this too and discovered my blood sugar levels were also fluctuating wildly, which made my mood even worse. Eating balanced, small meals helped me stay steady, but discussing this directly with my doctor was the best decision.

Haan na, it feels very heavy sometimes and people expect us to only feel happy. But inside, everything is changing so fast. Please don't take stress, just talk to your doctor freely about how you are feeling.

Bilkul hota hai, behan. Body me itne badlav aate hain ki dimaag ghabra jata hai. Aap bilkul chinta mat karo aur apne gharwalon se dil ki baat kaho, aur doctor didi ko bhi agli baar zaroor batana.
