Is it healthy to sleep in a cold room?

My husband loves to keep the AC on really low at night, making our room quite cold. I often feel chilly and wonder if it's good for my health. Is it healthy to sleep in a cold room, or could it cause issues?

Honestly, keeping the AC on full blast and curling up under a heavy blanket is the absolute best feeling. I sleep like a baby when the room is cold, otherwise I just keep tossing and turning because of the heat. It is definitely healthy for getting a deep sleep.

I totally get it, trying to sleep when the room is warm and stuffy is the absolute worst. A cool breeze or keeping the fan on high really helps calm the mind and relax the body. Making your sleeping space comfortable is so important for your mental peace.

Unless you are trying to turn your bedroom into an ice cream cold storage, a cool room is actually great for sleep. It signals your brain that it is bedtime, like a hibernating bear. Just don't make it so cold that you wake up looking like an ice cube!

At my age, my body's internal thermostat seems to have its own mood swings, so a cold room is a blessing. It really helps with deep sleep, though my bones might complain slightly in the morning. Just find that sweet middle temperature where you don't freeze but don't sweat either.

Yeah, sleeping in a cooler room around 18-20 degrees helps lower your core body temperature, which triggers melatonin production. It improves muscle recovery post-workout because you get more deep REM sleep. Keep the room cool and your sleep quality will improve massively.
