Is it harder to lose weight with pcos?

I've been working out consistently and watching my diet, but losing weight feels incredibly slow. My doctor said my PCOS could be a factor. Is it harder to lose weight with PCOS, or am I just not disciplined enough?

Yes, the path is a bit slower due to hormonal changes, but try to stay positive and patient with your body. Focus on nourishing yourself with wholesome foods and keeping your mind calm. Your body has its own natural healing rhythm, so just take care and let things flow.

Honestly, trying to lose weight with PCOS is like running a marathon on a treadmill that keeps going backwards. My partner struggles with this and she stays awake half the night stressing, which makes it even harder. It is a slow process, so don't lose your sleep over it.

It is definitely harder, and doing extreme diets without supervision can lead to worse hormonal imbalances. I ignored my issues and ended up with severe metabolic complications that took a year to reverse. Please consult a qualified endocrinologist before starting any weight loss program.

In our days, we relied on simple home foods and staying active with household work to manage body weight. Drinking warm water with a pinch of organic turmeric and cinnamon in the morning can help clear the system, but you must also consult a lady doctor to balance your hormones properly.

It is so incredibly frustrating when you work twice as hard as others and still don't see any difference on the scale. I used to feel so guilty and ashamed of my body, thinking I was doing something wrong. Your struggles are real and valid, please don't blame yourself for this slow progress.

Adding seeds like flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds to your diet can naturally help balance hormones to some extent. However, if you are experiencing severe weight gain along with heavy bleeding or extreme mood swings, don't rely only on home tips. Go see an OB-GYN to get a proper treatment plan.

I just managed to lose about 7 kgs after struggling with PCOS weight for three long years. The secret for me was focusing on strength training and eating high protein instead of doing endless cardio. Once your insulin levels stabilize, the weight actually starts coming off steadily.
