Our elders always say to avoid sleeping in very cold AC to prevent joint stiffness and catching a cold. However, doctors do suggest a slightly cool room is best for deep sleep. Finding a comfortable middle ground is usually the wisest choice.
Over the years, I have realized that sleeping in a slightly cool room with a light cotton sheet gives the most undisturbed rest. A hot room will only make you toss and turn all night. Just don't make it freezing cold either.

Scientific consensus suggests that a cooler room temperature, around 18 to 22 degrees, supports the body's natural circadian rhythm for better sleep. However, if you have conditions like asthma, very cold air can trigger symptoms, so consult your doctor to find what's safe for you.
