Is it bad to have sex during pregnancy?

My gynaecologist told me it's generally safe, but I'm still a bit worried after listening to some older relatives. They keep saying it might harm the baby. Can someone clear this doubt for me?

It is generally safe and won't cost you anything, but make sure your regular scans and tests are normal first. If there are any complications like low-lying placenta on your ultrasound, doctors will advise against it. Save yourself the stress and double-check your reports.

Intimacy during this beautiful phase is completely natural and helps in maintaining a loving bond with your partner. Just focus on gentle, comfortable positions that do not cause physical strain. Always maintain a calm, relaxed state of mind.

Just like physical exercise, intimacy is totally fine during a healthy pregnancy if your body feels comfortable. Just make sure you are not putting any direct pressure on the abdomen. Listen to your body and adjust accordingly.

I always tell young couples in our community that intimacy is healthy but you must use common sense. If your doctor has advised bed rest or if you have any history of early labor, then you must avoid it completely. Otherwise, it is normal.

It is totally okay if you feel scared or have zero mood for it right now, the hormonal changes can make things really difficult emotionally. Don't force yourself if you are feeling anxious. Talk to your partner openly about how you feel.

As long as your overall health parameters, blood pressure, and gestational sugar levels are stable, intimacy is fine. Just ensure proper hygiene to avoid any urinary tract infections, which can be tricky during pregnancy. Keep your doctor updated on any changes.

My wife and I were really nervous about this too, but our gynaecologist told us it is totally fine in the second trimester as long as there's no pain or bleeding. Just communicate with your partner and don't do anything uncomfortable.

If you have blood pressure issues during pregnancy, you must be a bit more careful about physical exertion. Always make sure your vitals are monitored regularly. It's best to have a quick word with your doctor to make sure everything is completely safe.

With all the backaches and tiredness during those months, my wife and I barely had the energy for it anyway. But medically, the doctors say it is safe unless there's some specific complication. Just don't push yourself if you are exhausted!

Hey, don't stress too much about this! The baby is fully cushioned by amniotic fluid, so you won't hurt them at all. Just go with what feels comfortable and don't hesitate to take a break if you're not feeling up to it.

It is completely fine to have those doubts, but rest assured, intimacy is medically safe for most expectant mothers. Just make sure to communicate openly with your partner and avoid any positions that cause discomfort. If anything feels off, stop and consult your doctor.

Medically speaking, sex is perfectly safe during pregnancy if it is a low-risk one. However, since every individual's health status differs, it is highly recommended to get a direct confirmation from your obstetrician during your next checkup.

Please make sure to ask your doctor before assuming everything is fine. I ignored mild cramping once and ended up having complications that required immediate medical attention. It is always better to get a green light from your clinic first.

Intimacy is generally safe, but tracking your body's response like heart rate and general fatigue is a good habit. If you experience any unusual symptoms like spotting or fluid leakage afterward, contact your doctor immediately as those are critical signs.

In our times, people were very shy to discuss this, but it is a very natural part of life. As long as the mother is comfortable and the doctor has given approval, there is no need to worry. Take care of her comfort above everything.
