Is it bad to have diarrhea during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and have been having episodes of diarrhea recently. Is it bad or dangerous to have diarrhea during pregnancy, or is it a common thing?

I had a bout of loose motions in my second trimester because of some outside food. I just focused on staying hydrated with plain water and salt-sugar solutions. It went away in a day, but I kept my doctor informed just in case.

My wife got diarrhea last month during her seventh month of pregnancy. The doctor told us dehydration is the main risk for the baby, so we kept giving her ORS. Definitely don't take random stop-motion pills without asking your gynae first.

Oh no! Pregnancy cravings make us eat all kinds of spicy things, and then the stomach pays the price. Stick to very simple curd rice, banana, and double boiled water for today. Skip the street food cravings until your tummy settles!

Getting dehydrated during pregnancy can lead to emergency hospital visits, which will cost a lot of money unnecessarily. It is much cheaper and safer to buy standard ORS packets from the chemist now and keep sipping them. If it lasts more than 24 hours, go to the clinic immediately.

When your stomach is upset, your body loses a lot of water and electrolytes, which can make you feel extremely weak. Skip any light walks or exercises for a couple of days and focus entirely on resting. Always consult your gynaecologist before resuming any physical activity.

Pregnancy mein stomach sensitive ho jata hai, haan. Don't worry, but dehydration nahi hone dena hai bilkul bhi. Keep drinking coconut water and ghar ka saaf khana hi khao, na. If you feel too weak, call your doc.

You can try having a cup of black tea with a few drops of lemon juice, or simple buttermilk with roasted cumin powder to calm the stomach. However, if you have high fever, severe stomach pain, or see blood in your stool, please go to the hospital immediately without waiting.

Oh dear, I would be panicking so much if I were you! Please don't stress, just drink lots of fluids so your body doesn't dry up. But do drop a message to your gynaecologist right away just to be completely safe and get their advice.
