Is ibuprofen or tylenol better for tooth pain?

My wisdom tooth is causing a lot of pain. I have both ibuprofen and Tylenol at home. Which one should I take? Is ibuprofen or Tylenol better for tooth pain?

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, so it usually works better for dental pain where swelling is involved. However, self-medicating can be tricky. You should book an appointment with a dentist to find the root cause instead of just suppressing the pain.

Oh god, tooth pain is the absolute worst, it kept me awake till 4 AM last week! Ibuprofen actually saved my life that night because it knocked out the throbbing pain. Please go to a dentist before you lose your sanity like I did.

In my experience, ibuprofen works much faster for dental issues because it targets the gum inflammation. But at my age, I am very careful with pain killers. Back in the day, pressing a clove against the painful tooth also gave us great relief until we could see the dentist.

I have this sharp shooting pain in my molar and paracetamol is doing absolutely nothing. Is ibuprofen safe to take twice a day? I am really scared of getting a root canal, did anyone else feel this much pain before their treatment?

I know exactly how terrifying tooth pain can be, it literally makes your whole face throb and induces so much anxiety. Personally, ibuprofen worked better for me because it reduced the swelling. Just take a deep breath and make that dentist appointment, you will feel so much better after it's sorted.

Bro, ibuprofen is way better for toothache because it stops the swelling in your gums. Paracetamol doesn't do much for dental pain honestly. Just make sure you don't take it empty stomach, eat a banana or something first.

Look, painkillers will only help you sleep tonight, they won't cure your tooth decay. Ibuprofen works better than tylenol for swelling, but you still have to go to the dental clinic. Go get the cavity filled before it gets worse.

For mild dental aches, paracetamol is a bit gentler on my stomach. I try to avoid ibuprofen because of my chronic gut sensitivity, but if the pain is too high, it might be necessary. Just checking with your doctor or dentist is the safest option.

Please don't keep popping ibuprofen to hide the pain like I did last year. I ignored a minor cavity until it turned into a massive infection and I had to get an emergency extraction. Go see a dentist immediately, painkillers are only a temporary fix.

Don't suffer in silence, dear. Ibuprofen is generally more effective for tooth pain because of its anti-inflammatory properties, but please don't overdo it. Call your dentist tomorrow morning and get it checked, okay? Take care.
