Is human pregnancy 10 months?

My mother-in-law keeps telling me that pregnancy actually lasts for 10 months, not 9. I'm a bit confused because all the books say 9. Is human pregnancy actually 10 months long?

No, generally human pregnancy is considered to be around 9 calendar months, or about 40 weeks from the last menstrual period. Sometimes it can feel longer, especially when you're waiting, but medically it's 9 months. With PCOS, sometimes cycles are irregular so dating can be tricky, but the length of pregnancy itself is standard. Always best to confirm with a Gynae doc.

Nope! 🙅‍♀️ Human pregnancy is typically around 9 months, or 40 weeks! Sometimes people confuse it with lunar months, which are shorter. But generally, it's 3 trimesters, each about 3 months long. So definitely 9 months! ✨

Arre yaar, no! Pregnancy is actually 9 months, not 10. Log confuse ho jaate hain because they count lunar months sometimes, which are like 28 days. But typically, it's 40 weeks, which is roughly 9 calendar months. Don't worry, you won't be pregnant for that long, thankfully! 😉

From a biological perspective, human pregnancy averages around 40 weeks, which translates to about 9 calendar months. It's often misunderstood because some traditions count lunar months. For well-being, focusing on each trimester as a stage of growth, just like in yoga we focus on stages, is more helpful than worrying about an extra month.

Oh, I just went through this! It felt like 100 months sometimes, especially the last few weeks, haha! But medically, it's 9 calendar months or approximately 40 weeks from your last period. Don't worry, it's not a full 10 months. The counting can be confusing for sure.

Standard human pregnancy is 9 months, not 10. It's about 40 weeks. Planning for a baby means planning for 9 months of prenatal care and expenses, which adds up. So it's good to be clear on the timeline for budgeting, tests, and everything else. Don't extend the budget for an extra month unnecessarily!

I remember my wife was so confused and worried about this when she was pregnant! But no, it's 9 months, not 10. The common misconception comes from counting 4-week 'lunar' months. Don't panic, it's a standard 9-month journey. Just follow your doctor's advice on the due date.
