Is high intensity training good for weight loss?

I've been going to the gym for a few months now and my trainer suggested I try high intensity training. I'm looking to lose some belly fat, so I'm wondering if this kind of training is actually good for weight loss.

Yes, absolutely! I started doing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) a few months ago, and I've seen a significant difference in my weight loss journey. It's tough, but you burn a lot of calories in a shorter time, and the afterburn effect is real. Just ensure you have proper form to avoid injury.

I want to try high-intensity training, but I'm worried about hurting myself or not being able to keep up. Has anyone else felt this way before starting? Any tips on easing into it without feeling completely exhausted?

Ho na, high-intensity training helps a lot with weight loss. It really boosts your metabolism. But it's also very taxing on the body, so make sure you are well-rested and eating nutritious food. Start with shorter sessions, haan?

For someone managing diabetes, exercise is crucial. High-intensity training can be beneficial for insulin sensitivity and weight loss, but it's very important to monitor your blood sugar closely before and after. Always consult your doctor or a physiotherapist before starting, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions. Don't push too hard without medical guidance.

High-intensity training for weight loss? Yes, if you enjoy feeling like you've run a marathon but only moved 10 feet! 😂 It's super effective, but also super exhausting. Just make sure you don't overdo it and end up needing an ambulance. Small steps, big results, right?

When we were younger, we just played and worked hard, that was our 'high intensity'! Now there are so many specific trainings. Yes, it can help shed weight fast. But remember, listen to your body, especially if you are not young. Don't injure yourself trying to keep up. Consistency over intensity always.

I've always believed in a mix of things, even for weight loss. High-intensity training definitely works, but it needs a lot of discipline. Make sure you're well-hydrated and consider small home-cooked meals after your workout to refuel. It's about a complete lifestyle change, not just one type of exercise.

Definitely good! I've been tracking my workouts with my fitness app, and the calorie burn from HIIT sessions is way higher than steady-state cardio. Plus, the 'EPOC' effect, where your body continues to burn calories post-workout, is amazing. There are tons of free HIIT routines on YouTube too, so you can try it easily.

Hey! Don't stress too much about it, but yes, high-intensity workouts are super effective for shedding kilos. They boost your metabolism and burn fat really well. Just remember to start at your own pace and not compare yourself to others. You got this!

Yeah, high-intensity training can be great for weight loss! It makes you burn a lot, so you can maybe, just maybe, indulge in one extra gulab jamun without feeling too guilty. 😉 But seriously, combine it with a balanced diet. You can't out-train a bad diet, even with high intensity.

While high intensity training can burn calories quickly, remember to also balance it with gentler practices like yoga and pranayama. These can help with recovery, flexibility, and mental peace, which are equally important for sustainable weight management. Listen to your body and don't push it beyond its comfortable limits.

I tried high-intensity training too quickly without building a base, and I ended up with a knee injury. It was very painful and set me back for months. So, while it's effective for weight loss, please consult a doctor or a qualified trainer first. Don't rush into it, build your strength gradually.

As someone with high BP, I have to be very careful with any intense exercise. While it can aid weight loss, it's critical to get a doctor's clearance first to ensure your heart can handle it. Regular checkups are a must, and monitor your body's response carefully. Don't risk it without professional advice.
