Is heat or cold better for nerve pain?

I have some nerve pain in my arm that flares up occasionally. I've tried both warm compresses and cold packs, but I'm not sure which one is truly more effective. Which is generally better for nerve pain, heat or cold?

I got this weird shooting nerve pain in my arm after sitting awkwardly during coding lab. Cold packs didn't do much for me, but a warm shower really relaxed the area. Try both and see what your body likes, but definitely get it checked if it doesn't go away.

Nerve pain can feel really unsettling, but please don't worry too much. Usually, gentle heat is better because it increases blood flow and calms irritated nerves. Just make sure the heating pad is not too hot so you don't irritate your skin, okay?

Haan, nerve pain ke liye general recommendation toh heat hi hai, na? Warmth se muscles relax hote hain aur nerves par pressure kam hota hai. Par agar thoda inflammation lag raha hai toh cold compress try kar sakte ho.

Nerve pain is like that one uninvited relative who refuses to leave. I usually prefer heat because freezing my joints makes me feel like a statue. Try a heating pad and if that fails, a doctor visit is your best bet to evict the pain!

Please don't make the mistake I did by ignoring tingling nerve pain and just relying on heat packs for weeks. It turned out to be a disc issue that needed proper physiotherapy. Get a neurologist to look at it before it becomes a bigger problem.

At my age, my nerves seem to have a mind of their own. I find that a warm hot water bottle helps quiet down the buzzing pain in my legs, especially at night. Ice just makes me shiver, but then again, everyone's mileage may vary!
