Is hair loss hereditary from mother or father?

My maternal grandfather had a full head of hair his whole life, but my paternal uncle is bald. I'm confused about how hair loss works genetically. Is hair loss typically inherited from the mother's side or the father's side?

It can actually come from both sides. Many people think it is only from the mother's side, but genes from your father play an equally big role. Keep your diet high in protein and stay active to keep your overall hair health optimal.

These physical traits can come from either parent, as we carry the essence of both. Stay positive, take care of your body with pure food, and do not let worry affect your inner peace.

It can be inherited from either parent. But also make sure to get your thyroid levels checked regularly, because sometimes what we think is genetic hair loss is actually just an underlying thyroid issue that is easily treatable.

That old myth that baldness only comes from the mother's side has been debunked. You can inherit the hair loss gene from either side of your family. If you see thinning, go get it diagnosed by a dermatologist instead of guessing.

It is a mix of both, yaar. Actually, you can get those hair thinning genes from your mom's dad or your father's side too. It is just luck of the draw, honestly.

Science says it can be passed down from both your mother's and father's families. Since we can't change our lineage, we can focus on what we eat. Including flaxseeds and amla in your daily diet is great for strengthening your hair roots.
