Is hair loss a side effect of wegovy?

I started Wegovy a few months back for weight management. I've seen good results, but I've also noticed increased hair loss. Is hair loss a common side effect of Wegovy?

My son started a similar medication for weight loss and actually complained of hair thinning after a few months. His doctor said it can sometimes happen due to rapid weight loss itself, not always the medicine directly. Maybe check with your doctor if it's the weight loss or the drug.

Oh great, another side effect to add to the list of 'getting older and falling apart'! Honestly, with all these new meds, it's hard to keep track. If it's bothering you, definitely ask your doctor. Don't want to lose weight and your hair too, right?

Haan, sometimes weight loss can cause hair changes. You can try some home remedies like oiling your hair with coconut or almond oil, but if it's because of the medicine, then only the doctor can tell you what to do. Don't ignore it if it's severe.

My sister's friend took a weight loss medicine and she also had some hair fall. Amma used to say to eat well and use good oils. But for medicines, beta, always best to ask the doctor who prescribed it. They will know best if it's linked.

Hey, rapid changes in body weight or nutrition can sometimes show up as hair loss. It's often temporary. Definitely talk to your doctor about it, they might adjust something or suggest supplements. Staying active and eating balanced also helps overall health, if your doctor says it's okay with the meds.

I've read a little about Wegovy and hair loss can be a reported side effect, though maybe not super common. It could also be stress or other factors. Please don't panic, but it's important to discuss this with your prescribing doctor right away so they can guide you.
