Is hair loss a side effect of semaglutide?

I'm considering starting semaglutide for weight loss, but I've heard some people experience hair loss. It's a big concern for me. Is hair loss a common side effect of semaglutide?

Hey, I've heard a few people mention this too! It's not super common, but some medications can affect hair. Maybe check with your doctor if this started after you began semaglutide. Don't stress too much about it though, sometimes it's temporary.

Honestly, don't rely on internet theories for something like this. If you're on medication and noticing side effects, the ONLY person who can give you reliable info is your prescribing doctor. Please schedule an appointment and discuss it with them.

Beti, medicines can sometimes have these effects. First, talk to your Hakeem, I mean, doctor. For hair, we used to massage our heads with coconut oil, sometimes warmed with methi seeds. It helps with circulation, but see what your doctor says about the medicine part.

Bro, I don't know about semaglutide specifically, but I started losing hair after some strong antibiotics a few years back. It stopped after I finished the course. Could be just a temporary thing due to the medicine, but better ask your doc.

My daughter had some hair thinning after a medication once, it was quite concerning. We spoke to her doctor and they adjusted things a bit. It's always best to involve your doctor, they can tell you if it's related and what can be done to help.
