Is ginger ale good in pregnancy?

Hi everyone, I'm in my first trimester and dealing with a lot of morning sickness. My mother suggested I try ginger ale to settle my stomach, but I just want to be sure it's completely safe for the baby. Has anyone else tried this during pregnancy?
