Is gerd a sign of pregnancy?

I've been experiencing a lot of acidity and reflux lately, and I'm also trying to conceive. Could GERD be a sign of pregnancy, or am I just overthinking it? It's making me wonder.

Yes, heartburn and acid reflux (GERD-like symptoms) can definitely be a very common early sign of pregnancy for many women.

Hello, dear! Yes, many women experience increased acid reflux or GERD-like symptoms during pregnancy. It's one of those lesser-known but quite common signs. Hormonal shifts relax the sphincter leading to the stomach. Always good to confirm with a pregnancy test and then your doctor.

As a nurse, I can tell you that GERD or heartburn is a very frequent complaint in early and later pregnancy. It's often due to hormone changes and the baby growing. So, yes, it can be a sign, but it could also be other things. A home pregnancy test is the first step, then a doctor.

While GERD symptoms can be associated with early pregnancy due to hormonal changes, it's not a definitive standalone sign. These symptoms can also arise from other causes. To confirm pregnancy, you need a proper test, and then consult your gynecologist for accurate diagnosis and management.

Beti, haan, kai aurton ko acid ki problem hoti hai jab woh pregnant hoti hain. Ghar mein toh dadi log bolte hain ki yeh sab common hai. Par agar aapko shaq hai, toh pehle test karwao. Aur agar zyada takleef ho, toh doctor ko zaroor dikhao, home remedies bas chhote mote cheezon ke liye hain.

It's true that acid reflux or GERD symptoms are very common during pregnancy. Hormonal changes and pressure from the growing uterus can both contribute to it. Don't worry too much, but check with your doctor.
