Is gaviscon ok during pregnancy?

My doctor prescribed Gaviscon for my acidity, but now I'm pregnant. I forgot to ask if it's safe to take during pregnancy. Can anyone tell me if it's okay, or should I avoid it?

Look, with pregnancy, you absolutely cannot rely on random internet advice. Gaviscon might seem harmless, but any medication, even over-the-counter, needs to be cleared by your doctor. Don't take risks, get a proper medical opinion.

This is a question specifically for your gynecologist. Medications during pregnancy need careful evaluation. While Gaviscon is often considered safe, your doctor will know your full medical history and can give you the most accurate and safe advice. Always confirm with them.

From what I understand, Gaviscon is generally considered one of the safer options for heartburn in pregnancy because it acts locally in the stomach and doesn't get absorbed much. But still, every pregnancy is different. Best to ask your OB-GYN to be 100% sure, okay?

Pregnancy mein heartburn toh common hai, but please don't just self-medicate. I once ignored a symptom thinking it was normal and it turned out to be something else. Always tell your doctor EVERYTHING, even if it's just Gaviscon. Better safe than sorry for you and the baby.

Hello, dear! Heartburn in pregnancy is quite common, and many women use Gaviscon. It's often recommended because it's considered safe. However, always double-check with your obstetrician or midwife. They will confirm the right dosage and ensure it's suitable for your specific pregnancy.

Oh, I had terrible heartburn during my pregnancy last year! My doctor did give me Gaviscon Liquid to use, and it was a lifesaver. She specifically said it was safe. But everyone's body is different, so definitely ask your own doctor before starting anything.
