Is farxiga safe for stage 3 kidney disease?

I have stage 3 kidney disease and also diabetes, and my doctor is considering putting me on Farxiga. My family is a bit worried if it's safe for my kidneys at this stage. Can Farxiga be safely used with stage 3 kidney disease?

Farxiga actually helps protect the kidneys in stage 3, but the exact dose depends heavily on your GFR levels. The best practical approach is to do a fresh kidney function test and show the reports to your specialist first.

Dekho, yeh kidney patients ko aajkal kaafi dete hain kidney ki safety ke liye. Par bina nephrologist se pooche mat lena, haan? Kidney ka mamla hai toh risk nahi lene ka.

Yes, it is often used for stage 3 kidney disease to slow down progression, but only under strict medical supervision.

My elderly father has stage 3 kidney disease, and his doctor actually prescribed Farxiga to prevent further damage. We monitor his creatinine levels very carefully every three months. Please make sure your doctor guides you on this.

My mother was recently diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease and prescribed this. We are very nervous about side effects. Did anyone's family member face any major issues like infections while taking this?

Farxiga is actually FDA-approved to reduce the risk of kidney decline in chronic kidney disease patients, including those in stage 3. However, because kidney function can vary, a qualified nephrologist's advice is absolutely necessary before starting.

Clinical studies show Farxiga is highly beneficial for slowing CKD progression in stage 3. However, self-medication is an absolute no-go here. Schedule an appointment with a nephrologist to evaluate if it fits your specific profile.

I got so scared when my doctor suggested Farxiga for my stage 3 kidney issue, thinking it would make things worse. But my doctor reassured me it actually slows down kidney decline. Now my reports are stable and I feel much better.

Be very careful. My creatinine spiked slightly right after starting this because I got severely dehydrated. You must see your nephrologist regularly and never ignore any sudden weakness or low urine output.

My dad has stage 3 CKD and his doctor gave him Farxiga to help his heart and kidneys. It works well but you have to be super careful with hydration. Don't start it yourself, let a proper doctor decide.

I am in stage 3 chronic kidney disease and my doctor started me on this medicine last year. Personally, it has helped stabilize my creatinine levels, but I always follow my doctor's exact advice.

If you are starting this, budget for regular EGFR and creatinine blood tests every few months. It is safe for stage 3 but requires constant monitoring, so keep those testing costs and doctor fees in your monthly health budget.
