Is fainting a sign of pregnancy?
I've been feeling very lightheaded and almost fainted a couple of times this past week. My period is also a bit late, and some of my friends mentioned that fainting can be an early sign of pregnancy. Is this true?

Yes, dizziness and fainting can sometimes happen early on due to hormonal shifts and blood pressure changes. However, I suggest getting a proper blood test and checking with a doctor. When my thyroid levels went crazy, I also felt very faint, so it's always best to get a complete diagnosis.
In our times, elders would often suspect pregnancy if a young woman felt dizzy or fainted. Try drinking some nimbu paani with salt and resting with your legs elevated if you feel weak. But if the fainting is severe or you feel very sick, please go to a clinic immediately.
I have heard some people mention this too, but I am not very sure how common it actually is. Does it happen right in the first week or does it start later on? If anyone else has experienced this, please share so I can understand too.
Oh yes, it definitely can be! Those early pregnancy hormones can make your blood vessels relax, leading to sudden dizzy spells. Just take a home test to find out for sure. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

First things first, just buy a simple 50-rupee pregnancy test kit from the chemist near your house and check tomorrow morning. No point guessing and stressing about it. If the test is positive, then book an appointment with a gynecologist to start your checkups.
