Is extra strength tylenol ok during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester and caught a cold, with some body aches. My local chemist suggested extra strength Tylenol, but I'm really careful about what I take during pregnancy. Is extra strength Tylenol safe to take while pregnant?

Normal paracetamol toh we take, but pregnancy mein extra strength wala bina gynecologist se pooche mat lena na. Double dose tablets can be heavy for the baby, so better call your clinic once.

Please do not self-medicate during this crucial time. My wife once took a strong over-the-counter painkiller without asking her doctor and it caused her severe stomach acidity and anxiety. Always run every single tablet by your gynecologist first.

I can only share what my gynecologist told me during my pregnancy last year. She strictly asked me to avoid extra strength painkillers and only prescribed a mild, specific dose of paracetamol when I had a fever.

Pranam. During pregnancy, our body is very sensitive, so we should avoid strong English medicines. If you have a headache, try putting a warm compress or drinking some fresh mint water. Please ask your doctor before taking any tablets.

Instead of risking strong medicines, try resting in a dark, quiet room and drinking a cup of light ginger tea for headaches. If the pain is unbearable, go to your regular clinic and let them write down a safe prescription for you.

Agree with others, please check with your doctor first as high doses of any medicine should be strictly avoided during pregnancy.

Actually, regular acetaminophen is considered the safest pain reliever during pregnancy, but extra strength variants have a much higher dosage per pill. It is best to stick to the lowest effective dose of standard paracetamol. Don't take it continuously without your doctor's supervision.

I had a massive migraine in my second trimester and panicked thinking I couldn't take anything. My doctor reassured me and said regular crocin or paracetamol is fine, but advised against the extra strength ones unless absolutely necessary. Just give your doctor a quick call to be safe.

I know how stressful it is when you have a terrible headache and are too scared to take any medicine during pregnancy. But please don't take extra strength ones on your own. Call your hospital's helpline, they will guide you and make you feel much more relaxed.

Don't pop extra strength pills blindly while pregnant. Standard paracetamol is usually fine, but you need your obstetrician's green signal for higher strengths. Just send them a quick WhatsApp message to confirm the dosage.
