Is emergen c ok during pregnancy?

I'm feeling a bit rundown and thinking of taking an Emergen-C packet, but I'm pregnant. Is Emergen-C okay to take during pregnancy? Don't want to take any chances, na.

Agree with most here, it is usually better to avoid self-medicating with heavy supplements. Better to just ask your gynecologist about your daily prenatal vitamins instead.

I always check supplement labels carefully because many have added synthetic ingredients or high dosages not suitable for pregnancy. You can easily get all your Vitamin C from a clean vegetarian diet of bell peppers, guavas, and citrus fruits without any risk.

Hi! Congrats on the pregnancy! 🌸 Honestly, those packets have a super high dose of Vitamin C which might be too much right now. Better to stick to fresh lime juice, it is refreshing and totally natural! 🍋

Actually, I was looking up the same thing for my wife last week. From what I read, Emergen-C has around 1000mg of Vitamin C, which is way higher than the recommended daily intake for pregnant women. We decided to skip it entirely.

I am just in my first trimester and feeling very confused about what is safe. My cousin suggested these packets for energy, but I am too scared to try them. Does anyone know if our standard Indian prenatal tablets already have enough Vitamin C?

Beta, during these special months, do not put any unnecessary chemical powders in your body. If you are feeling a bit weak or have a cold, just have warm water with a little honey and ginger. It is tried and tested for generations.
