Is eating watermelon good for weight loss?

I love watermelon and it's so refreshing, especially in summer. I'm also trying to lose weight. Is eating watermelon good for weight loss, like it fills you up without many calories? Or should I be mindful of the sugar?

Watermelon is mostly water, which is great because my doctor told me to cut calories and drink water, so this fits both! It fills up my stomach so I don't go looking for samosas in the evening. Just don't eat the whole giant melon in one go.

My grandmother always recommended watermelon to cool down the body during summers. However, my physician advises that since it has a high glycemic index, we must eat it in moderation and not replace proper balanced meals with it.

It is sweet, juicy, and very low calorie, so it definitely helps during sweet cravings. Just don't eat it too late or you'll be running to the bathroom all night like me. Sleep is already hard to get, don't ruin it!

Yes, watermelon is very good for weight loss because of its high volume and low calorie density. It keeps you hydrated too. But remember to eat the fruit directly; drinking it as juice removes all the beneficial fiber.

Watermelon is rich in potassium and lycopene, which is great for heart health and managing my BP. I include it in my daily snack routine, but alongside I also walk 5 km and do regular health checkups. Diet alone won't do everything.

I used to eat fruits like watermelon frantically to lose weight, ignoring my constant fatigue, only to realize later I had severe iron deficiency. Please get your routine blood work done before making any major diet changes.

Watermelon is a healthy snack, but if you have a slow metabolism due to thyroid issues like me, you need a proper medical plan. Make sure you get your TSH levels checked regularly and adjust your thyroid dose along with your diet.
