Is dry mouth a sign of pregnancy?

I'm trying to conceive and paying close attention to any changes in my body. Lately, I've noticed my mouth feels really dry, more than usual. Could this be a sign that I'm pregnant? I'm hoping it is, but wanted to check if it's a known symptom.

During pregnancy, the body needs double the water. Practicing mild sheetali pranayama can cool the throat and ease dry mouth naturally. Hydrate well.

In our days, we didn't have many tests, but waking up very thirsty was a common early sign of expecting. Drink tender coconut water, it is very good for the baby too.

Yes, metabolic changes and higher blood flow can cause dehydration. Use a hydration tracker app to make sure you are getting at least 3 liters of water daily.

It can be a side sign due to hormones, but don't rely on it. Just take a urine pregnancy test at home tomorrow morning. It takes only two minutes and saves time.

When I was pregnant with my second child, dry mouth was my constant companion. I used to keep a small water bottle right next to my pillow all night. It does pass.

I am experiencing dry mouth and a metallic taste since last week. Did anyone else have this before they missed their period? I am so anxious to know.

Yes, dry mouth is a secondary symptom caused by progesterone surge. But please check your sugar levels too, as gestatonal issues also present like this. Talk to your doc.

While dry mouth is commonly noted during pregnancy, it is important to consult your obstetrician to rule out dehydration or oral thrush.

I completely understand how stressful waiting and noticing every body symptom can be. Try to rest, keep sipping water, and take a medical test when the time is right.
