Is drinking coffee during pregnancy bad?

I'm newly pregnant and I'm a regular coffee drinker. My mother said to stop completely, but my friends say a little is okay. Is drinking coffee during pregnancy bad, or can I have it in limits?

Oh, I was literally just looking this up for my friend who's pregnant! It seems like most doctors say a small amount, like one cup a day, is generally okay. But it's super important to check with your own gynaecologist because every pregnancy is different, right?

In our family, elders always say to avoid too much 'ushti' (heat) during pregnancy, which includes strong coffee. But times have changed, no? My doctor told me one small filter coffee is okay. Always listen to your gynaecologist, they know best for you and baby.

I had coffee during both my pregnancies, but I cut down significantly. My doctor said 200mg of caffeine per day was the limit, which is roughly one small cup. I switched to half-decaf or had a chai instead. Don't completely deprive yourself if you love it, just be mindful and measure. Trust your doctor's specific advice.

Yaar, pregnancy mein toh har chhoti cheez se darr lagta hai! Coffee ka maine bhi bohot research kiya. Thoda bahut chalega but best to be safe and avoid if you can, or stick to decaf. Caffeine can cross the placenta, so it's always better to be cautious. Talk to your doc, they'll give the best advice.

Hey! Honestly, just don't stress yourself out over it. Most doctors say a little bit of coffee, like one cup, is totally fine. It's not like you're chugging down energy drinks. Just keep it mild and chat with your gyno to be super sure! Congrats on your pregnancy!
