Is cycling good for knee joint pain?

I've had knee joint pain for a while, especially when climbing stairs. My doctor suggested low-impact exercises. I was thinking of buying a cycle for ghar pe, but wanted to know if cycling is actually good for knee pain or if it might make it worse.

I always worry that any movement will make my joint pain worse, and I spend hours googling the side effects of cycling. If you do try it, maybe start with a stationary bike for just 5 minutes on zero resistance? Please listen to your body and don't push through any sharp pain.

According to the physical therapist I consulted, cycling is excellent for knee pain because it promotes synovial fluid circulation in the joint. However, my doctor specifically warned me to avoid steep outdoor hills and to keep the saddle high enough to prevent deep knee bending.

Actually yaar, it depends on why your knee is hurting. For general stiffness, stationary cycling is amazing, but if you have a ligament issue, then cycling might irritate it more. Don't risk it without knowing the cause, yaar.

I tried cycling to cure my knee pain last year and ended up with a severe meniscus strain because my posture was wrong. I strongly recommend seeing a physiotherapist first to see if your knees are ready for cycling.

While gentle cycling can help with joint mobility, make sure you are also supporting your joints from the inside. Eating anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric, walnuts, and green leafy vegetables alongside mild exercise can do wonders for knee comfort.

My elders always recommended warm mustard oil massage for knee pain, which gives good comfort. However, for exercises like cycling, it is best to ask your orthopedic doctor if it suits your specific joint health.

Haan na, knee pain is so troubling in daily life. Gentle cycling helps keep the stiffness away, but you have to do it very slowly. Don't stress your legs too much, take proper rest also.
