Is cycling good for knee arthritis?

My knees have a lot of pain because of arthritis, especially when I walk. Someone suggested cycling might be easier on the joints. Is it actually beneficial for knee arthritis?

Managing knee pain and high BP has taught me that low-impact exercise is very beneficial. Cycling can be good for knee arthritis as it doesn't put full body weight on the joint, but please monitor your blood pressure and joint stiffness regularly during checkups.

Knee arthritis can vary a lot from person to person, so you must be very careful. Before you start cycling, please get your knees checked by an orthopedic specialist to ensure you won't cause more wear and tear.

It can actually be super helpful because it helps lubricate the knee joint without heavy pounding 🚴‍♀️! Just keep the pedal resistance light and enjoy the gentle movement. Stay positive! 😊

Haan, knee arthritis mein cycling ko kafi achha maana jata hai kyunki isme weight seedhe ghutno par nahi padta. Par dhyan rakhna na, zyada speed ya heavy gear par chalane se dard badh bhi sakta hai.

My orthopedician explained that cycling builds the quadriceps muscles around the knee, which helps absorb shock and relieves pressure from the joint. He advised adjusting the seat height so the knee is only slightly bent at the bottom of the pedal stroke to avoid excess pressure.
