I am in my first trimester and trying to eat very carefully. I read that cabbage has folate, which is good, but is it safe to eat it raw in salads, or is there a risk of bacteria? Please let me know how you all ate it.

My wife ate quite a bit of cabbage during her pregnancy because it's full of fiber and vitamins. Just be prepared for the extra gas it might cause, as if pregnancy bloating wasn't enough! Cook it thoroughly to keep the stomach happy.

Cabbage is a wholesome gift from nature, full of nutrients that support the growth of the little one. Just cook it with love and cleanliness, and eat it in moderation. Stay cheerful and trust that your body knows how to nurture this life.

With a baby on the way, expenses like scans and delivery prep add up fast, so cabbage is a very economical way to get healthy nutrition. It gives you calcium and fiber at a very low price. Just make sure to wash it under running water thoroughly to save on any stomach infection treatment costs.

Cabbage is actually great during pregnancy because of the folate and fiber, yaar. But you should completely avoid raw cabbage or coleslaw from restaurants because of infection risks. Always eat it well-cooked at home.
