Is breaking out a sign of pregnancy?

I'm a few days late on my period and I've suddenly started breaking out with pimples on my face. My friend said this could be a sign of pregnancy. Is breaking out a common symptom of pregnancy?

Breakouts can happen due to pollution, stress, or junk food too, not just pregnancy. Stop overthinking and just do a proper urine test to get a clear answer.

Honestly, I get crazy pimples right before my period too, so it is super hard to tell. If you missed your period, just get a home test kit from the chemist, don't guess based on skin stuff!

My gynaecologist told me that pregnancy acne is extremely common in the first and second trimesters. She advised against using standard over-the-counter acne medications like salicylic acid as they can be unsafe for the baby.

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my partner had a sudden acne breakout. Apparently, the hormone progesterone increases during pregnancy, which makes your skin produce more oil, causing breakouts.

Arey baba, skin breaking out can happen to anyone due to heat or hormones. If you suspect pregnancy, wait for your period date, and if it's late, see a doctor instead of staring at the mirror.

Actually, my skin went completely crazy with pimples when I was pregnant, yaar. I thought it was just stress, but then the pregnancy test came back positive!

At my age, breaking out just means I ate too much deep-fried farsan! But yes, for young women, hormonal changes of pregnancy can do this. Better to check with a doctor than trust old wives' tales.
